BELLA VISTA – An minimum-security inmate who walked away Sunday from Sugar Pine Conservation Camp was apprehended in the Salinas area.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., inmate Irvin Enciso was apprehended with the assistance of the Salinas Police Department. He is being transported to California Correctional Center.

Enciso was was received by CDCR in July 2017 from Monterey County to serve a 9-year, 8-month term for assault with a firearm, conspiracy, carrying a loaded firearm in public when not the registered owner, and first-degree burglary. His case will be referred to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of escape charges.
