Please join the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) on Thursday May 3, for a hiring workshop. CDCR will be recruiting to fill immediate job opportunities for carpenters, plumbers, supervising correctional cooks, water and sewage plan supervisors, and other positions at Pleasant Valley State Prison.
This free workshop is open to the public, and is designed to inform job seekers about immediate openings for several high-need positions at Pleasant Valley State Prison. By attending, job seekers will receive information about the job vacancies, including salary and benefits. Hiring authorities will be on site to provide assessment of qualifications, and assist with creating a State of California CalCareers account, which is needed to apply for a state job. Representatives at the fair will be ready to conduct interviews and possibly provide tentative job offers.
During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to tour the institution to learn more about jobs. Please note that tours are optional and are subject to security clearance. To request a tour, RSVP is required by Tuesday April 24. Please call (916) 323-2672 for assistance.
CDCR employees play a vital role in fulfilling the Department’s mission to protect public safety. California’s prisons operate 24 hours a day and the vacant positions advertised at this event are vital to making sure that they are operating safely and efficiently.
