The Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is requesting applications for the Innovative Grant Program, funding approved by the State legislature.
DJJ has been authorized to provide a total of $1.5 million in grants to fund Innovative Programs at three DJJ facilities. The program will make available $500,000 per year, starting fiscal year 2017-18 and ending in
2019-20. The grant monies will be eligible for not-for-profit organizations on a one-time basis.
Interested applicants are required to submit a Notice of Intent to apply by December 18, 2017.
The grant funding will be available for not-for-profit organizations that are currently providing services in California State Prisons or County Juvenile Facilities, Schools and communities targeting at-risk juveniles, including a demonstrated success and focus on offender responsibility, reduction in criminal behavior, and other restorative justice principles.
